We participated in the 41st Global Anti-Corruption Conference

Our partner, Mariela Inés Melhem, represented Mitrani Caballero at the 41st Global Anti-Corruption Conference, organized by the American Conference Institute in Washington, DC. The event brought together over 700 experts from various industries to discuss the latest trends and challenges in compliance and ethics.

The conference is recognized as the premier global event focused on the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). Each year, it attracts in-house and external legal advisors, as well as compliance officers specializing in anti-corruption from around the world.

Over the two-day conference, attendees engaged in in-depth discussions and benchmarking on risk management, compliance, investigations, ethics, and law enforcement. Officials from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) shared best practices for implementing compliance programs and minimizing the risk of non-compliance. They also presented the investigations and enforcement actions carried out during 2024 and shared their outlook for 2025.

Attending this event is part of our commitment to staying up-to-date and adopting the best international practices to deliver effective solutions to our clients.
