The Firm is and has been legal counsel to several construction and industrial companies in relation to the construction and “revamping” of pipelines, of oil and gas pipelines, thermal and hydroelectric plants, including the negotiation and drafting of EPC and Turnkey Agreements. The Firm also has a very strong practice regarding port infrastructure.

Our most relevant projects include:

• Techint’s construction of an oil refinery for Trintoc in Trinidad and Tobago
• Techint’s construction of an oil pipeline system in Nigeria
• Central Térmicas Mendoza S.A.’s construction of a combined cycle plant including the negotiation and drafting of the bidding terms, EPC Agreements and a purchase and sale agreement of the steam produced by the plant to YPF Luján de Cuyo Refinery
• Counsel to Siemens AG, supplier of the turbines, and Siemens Brazil who was in charge of the construction and electro mechanics components of the Genelba plant
• Siemens and Abengoa’s joint venture formed for the construction of Termoeléctrica Termoandes, including the negotiation and drafting of the agreements for the construction of a high-tension line connecting Argentina and Chile
• Tecpetrol, Mobil and CGC’s arbitral ICC claim against Termoandes for the breach of the gas provision contracts
• Westinghouse’s revamping of the Dock Sud and Costanera thermo plants
• Siemens, Panedile and ICA México’s joint venture formed for the construction of the Caracoles-Punta Negra hydro plant in its first stage and counsel to Techint in the final phase of the construction of the plant
• Techint’s construction of Block 16 in Ecuador
• LG&E Energy and Sideco’s joint venture formed for the construction of Centrales Térmicas Tucumán
• Lavalin and Skanska’s joint venture formed for the construction of the Potasio Rio Colorado mining facilities
• Patagonia Bioenergia (Riverstone Energy)’s construction of the so-called Train 2 of the largest independent biodiesel plant in Argentina
• China Nuclear Energy Industry Corp.’s construction of a nuclear power plant for Nucleoeléctrica Argentina S.A.
• E.ON AG group’s operations in the Republic of Argentina.
• E.ON’s arbitral proceeding against the Republic of Argentina before CIADI.
• Counsel to Distribuidora de Gas del Centro S.A. (gas distribution company).
• Counsel to Distribuidora de Gas Cuyana.
• HRM acted as counsel and full syndic of TGS (gas transportation company) and Gas Natural BAN (gas distribution company).
• Counsel to VALE in the construction of a 500/132 kV electrical substation and the enlargement of the electric power carrying capacity, to power Vale’s potash project “Potasio Rio Colorado”, in the Province of Mendoza.
• Counsel to Rio Tinto, in structuring an intended PPP with provincial and federal authorities, for the construction of roadways connecting Rio Tinto’s potash project “Potasio Rio Colorado”, in the Province of Mendoza, with the port of Bahía Blanca in the Province of Buenos Aires.

Ports and transportation
• Counsel to Bactssa (“Buenos Aires Container Terminal Services”) previously owned by ICTSI and afterwards bought by Hutchison Wampoa.
• Counsel to Hutchison in the Caacupemí port terminal project in Asunción, Paraguay and in the port of Montevideo privatization project.
• Counsel to the Chamber of Port Terminals of the City of Buenos Aires
• Maersk group’s regulatory matters including Svitzer operations in the Buenos Aires, Bahía Blanca and Necochea ports
• Toepfer’s acquisition and operation of a grain terminal in the Bahía Blanca port
• Counsel to ITALFERR SpA in the drafting, negotiation and execution of the “Main Designer Contract” entered with GHELLA S.p.A.-SACDE S.A. Consorcio G&S U.T. in connection with the Sarmiento railway underground tunnelling project
• Counsel to TMH Argentina S.A. in the international public tender launched by the National Ministry of Transport for a contract to supply 70 EMU cars (and spare parts) for the Buenos Aires RER network.
• Counsel to TMH Argentina S.A. in the public tender launched by ADIFSE (public railway infrastructure management company) for a contract (awarded to TMH) to refurbish and reopen the “Mechita” rolling stock workshops in the province of Buenos Aires
