Highlights for these clients include:
- Advising DAK Americas, a producer of PET resins, in its 2014 acquisition of CabelmaPET, a PET recycling operation in Argentina.
- Representing Alpek in connection with its 2014 acquisition of BASF´s expandable polystyrene business in Argentina.
Moreover, Mitrani Caballero has a significant track record of on-the-ground experience in complex M&A transactions in Mexico, acting as lead international counsel for its long-time clients Tenaris and Ternium. Highlights of our on-the-ground work in Mexico include:
- Advising Tenaris in connection with the 2013 negotiation and establishment of a joint venture with Ternium and Tecpetrol for the construction and operation of a self-generating power plant in Mexico.
- Advising Ternium in its 2010 joint venture with Nippon Steel to for the manufacturing and sale of hot-dip galvanized and galvannealed steel sheets to serve the Mexican automobile market.
- Advising Ternium in its 2007 USD3.2 billion acquisition of Mexican steel producer Grupo IMSA and related acquisition financing.
